Our son has mild Celebral Palsy and we were referred to Becky when we had concerns about his development of his speech age 3. Becky was incredible. Becky has become an invaluable member of our child's therapy team, helping to significantly extend their ability to communicate, as a non-verbal child. Through Becky's guidance, they are continually broadening their ability to express their emotions, wants and to play games through the use of Eye-Gaze technology. We have watched our child grow in their confidence to use and navigate around their communication device and it has become an integral and highly cherished part of all our lives, at home and school. Becky is on hand to offer advice, set clear targets and goals, supporting both our child and us as parents to continually develop our understanding of alternative communication. In addition, she has been able to offer support and training on dysphagia.

Becky has now been supporting Jack for the last few months and has show me some amazing techniques to help Jack make choices and be able to make some communication via his eyes.
Becky organised a trial of the eye gaze for us, which was very successful and has really helped me to understand how to get the best out of Jack and understand him better. I am not very technically minded, but Becky gave me the support. I needed to be able to use the eye gaze and get the best out of it.
Becky is very calm and makes Jack smile, he always seems to enjoy his speech and language therapy session.

Becky has been working alongside our 9 year old daughter to support feeding and communication. In a short amount of time there has been huge progress made in communication and our daughters world has been opened more than we anticipated.

Becky has been commissioned by Warwickshire SENDAR to visit a child in our school to assist and advise one of our pupils.
Becky is extremely knowledgeable about SALT and the pupil has made good progress with her assistance. She has assisted both the staff and the pupils with appropriate strategies and advice.

Warwickshire Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Assessment and Review Service (SENDAR) commission Becky to visit our school weekly to provide input for one of our young children. My son, Henry, has been fortunate to have had Becky as his speech therapist for many years, supporting him through the NHS and now privately for the past few months. Becky has navigated a difficult journey with great patience, kindness and determination to ensure Henry is constantly engaged and getting the maximum benefit from his sessions. Henry has Phelan McDermid syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, which causes significant cognitive and developmental delays. He was completely non-verbal until he was 5 years old and now at 7 he is able to communicate and starting to form sentences. He has a long way to go but Becky has played a fundamental role in providing Henry with the necessary tools to learn and develop his speech. She has developed the perfect balance for Henry of firmness and fun, challenging him to do more and continually adapting the lessons to keep him engaged and keen to learn. I am very grateful for Becky’s help and input over the years and would highly recommend her.

Becky has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and very professional through our appointments. She came to see us at home and then also observed our son at his school. We were desperate as a family, to get an independent outside person to help us with a SALT report to go with our son’s EHCP. Becky produced an outstanding SALT report detailing our son’s needs which, was presented to my son’s school and which made the NHS SALT get their act together and make changes as requested by Becky. I highly recommend Becky – she is very professional, supportive and kind. She understood our issues and knew exactly what our son would need to go further in his education. Becky has absolutely transformed the speech and language input our daughter receives and takes the lead in setting targets, assessing progress and delivering direct therapy to our daughter at her school. Becky was highly recommended to us via another professional and she has been just as helpful, knowledgeable, and sensitive to our situation as we were told she would be. We couldn't recommend Becky more. We were worried about our three-year-old's speech and approached Becky after a bad experience with another speech therapist. We're so glad we did: Becky was reassuring, patient and thorough. As a mum herself, she seemed to completely understand our concerns and was confident she could help, which made us feel as though the situation was manageable and surmountable. As a parent of a two year old with severe speech delay and suspected Autism. Becky delivered an extensive evaluation then personalised the session to find a joint interest with my daughter that would keep her engaged.
Becky gave lots of ideas and tools to try. Our daughter is making eye contact far more than she used to. She has less tantrums now she has learnt way to communicate her needs.

We were really pleased with the speech assessment Becky carried out. She put our young daughter at ease and kept her engaged throughout. Becky then provided verbal feedback, identifying which sounds she was struggling with and giving ideas to help improve them. She also provided a written summary of the assessment and recommendations, which i shared and discussed with my daughters teacher. It was really reassuring to get her expert assessment and advice.

My son had some issues with speech clarity, but didn't meet the threshold for NHS speech therapy so we decided to explore private options. Becky was amazing and reassuring from the moment we made contact. She carried out an initial assessment, which our son really enjoyed and she quickly identified where he was struggling and gave us lots of ideas and advice regarding activities we could do to help him. In a short space of time, the improvement in his speech clarity was amazing!. Becky also came back to review his progress to determine whether he might need some direct intervention from her, which he didn't. We can't recommend Becky highly enough.
